Onuku Maori Lands Trust

WELCOME to Onuku Maori Lands Trust

We are an Ahuwhenua Trust with lands of 2430.6154 hectares owned by over 4800 owners.

Our lands are located at the base of Ruawahia Maunga and we extend from the shores of Lake Rotomahana through to State Highway 38.

ONUKU AGM

Our AGM is Saturday 21st February 2026 at the Distinction Hotel Rotorua at 10am.  This year we are taking a bus out to the farm following the meeting.  You will need to register in advance as bus seats are limited - please click the button if you wish to attend the bus tour.

Barnett Vercoe, after 24 years of dedication to the Trust and the current Chairman, has decided to retire. This has created a vacancy in the Trust expiring in 2029. We are calling for nominations to fill this position.  Please click the button above for a nomination form - nominations close 13 Feb 2026 at 5pm.

Our Kaumatua grants have been paid on 15 December 2025.  If you are an owner or a descendant of an owner over 65 years of age and are not receiving your Kaumatua grant, please get in touch with Perpetual Guardian Rotorua to provide them with your details.

Did you get our recent panui?   If you are not receiving a panui, it could be that we don't have the correct details on our register.  If you want to check, simply flick an email or text or phone us and we will make sure that we have the right details.

Don't forget that our AGM is the 21st February 2026 at 10am at the Distinction Hotel in Fenton Street.
