Education grants are provided by the Onuku Maori Lands Trust to students with affiliations to the land. Each year, grants are provided to approved students.
Previous grant winners may return to complete grant applications for the next year. New grant applicants will need to register to receive the instructions and a registration form.
Onuku Maori Lands Trust Education Grants
Applications open: 3 February – 3 April 2020
Please note: Applications are not considered complete unless required supporting documentation is supplied to the Rotorua branch of Perpetual Guardian no later than 9am 14 April 2020. More details will be provided on the application form.
For those studying full time or part time at a tertiary institute or university who are an owner or direct descendant of a current owner of the Onuku Maori Lands Trust or a beneficiary of a whanau trust.
Owners in the Trust, aged 65 years or over are entitled to apply for a payment of up to $200.00 per annum under the Kaumatua Grants. Applications are accepted from the date of the AGM until 15th June following.

The trust does have the ability to provide Discretionary Grants for sports representatives with affiliations to the land who are representing Aotearoa New Zealand in a sporting event overseas.
