FARMS
The Onuku Maori Lands Trust farms cover a total area of 2,440 hectares of which 740 hectares is retired. The retired area is mainly in regerating bush. The area being farmed covers 1, hectares, split into five units - four dairy farms and a drystock farm - as described below.
A further 121 hectares is in a commercial forestry operation. This comprises of:
49 hectares of unpruned Radiata
56.5 hectares of pruned Radiata planted in 2008
12.7 hectares of Douglas Fir
Other smaller forestry lots
The farms are managed by AGFIRST.

Dairy one is located at 51 Rerewhakaaitu Road.
This season it is milking approx 549 cows
This farm is under a contract milking agreement with Glen and Renalyn Ramel.
Boundary Road farm milks 242 cows and is managed by Morgan Wesche. This farm was the winner of the Ahuwhenua Award for Dairy in 2018.
Dairy three is Managed by Rob Cowan and this season is milking approx 613 cows.
Miraka Hipi

Miraka Hipi is located at 873 State Highway 38 and in 2020/21 it is milking approx 1600 East Fresian ewes
We employ Alain Valeza as manager with 3 FTE plus a number of casual staff.
Supply of milk is to Spring Sheep
